ALGEBRA 2: DISTANCE WORD PROBLEM?

You just gotta think about it, after 1.5 hours the bike is 21 miles away when the car starts going. Then after another half hour the car has gone 28 miles, and the bike has gone another 7 (plus the original 21), so at this point they have both gone 28 miles, and that is the point where the car pulls ahead.
