Is my mother going through menopause, or is she just forgetting about me?

Hi. I've been through Menopause, and that's usually not the way women act. It sounds more like a mid-life crisis to me. Sometimes when we reach a certain age, we start to see that our life is slipping away, and we haven't done the things we wanted to do, so we just start going nuts trying to do them all at once. Did your parents get divorced recently ???? That also happens after a divorce, when they feel they have their freedom back, so they start going out a lot, and acting the way they did before marriage. It has nothing to do with you. Maybe you should tell her how you feel. As a parent, i know i would never want to do something that i know was hurting my child's feelings. Adults go through bad times, just like teens do. Being honest, and talking about how you feel, is the best advice i can give you. Good luck :-)
