Can you leave Air Force Reserve DEP to join Army? I have heard that it's different for Reserves than Active?

I joined Air Force Reserve, scheduled to ship to BMT in November. Since my swearing in, I have found out that my recruiter gave me incorrect information about my potential to become a commissioned officer, which will severely limit many options I thought I had with that branch of the military. If I want to switch to Army Reserve, am I still able to get out of the AF Reserve at this point without it creating a negative impact on my record? I am still very much on board with being in the military, but the options for school/grad school were a big incentive for me, so I am considering another branch of service that wouldn't limit me based on my age. I have heard that getting out of DEP as someone who has sworn in with Active Duty military is different than being in the Reserves. If someone could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.
